Gegen 18:00 Uhr erreichte ich dann endlich meine Wohnung. Nach einer langen und anstrengenden Reise, wollte ich nur noch ins Bett fallen und schlafen. Doch vorher sah ich mir meine Wohnung erstmal genauer an. Es war eine 2-Zimmer Wohnung im 8. Stock mit wundersch\u00f6nem Ausblick direkt auf das Meer. Das Unternehmen geh\u00f6rt zu der James Hardie Group und hat 63 Mitarbeiter. James Hardie Spain, ehemals Fermacell, ist einer der bekanntesten Baustoffmarken der Branche und europ\u00e4ischer Marktf\u00fchrer f\u00fcr hochwertige Gipsfasern und Zementspanplatten. Bevor Fermacell an die James Hardie Gruppe verkauft wurde, geh\u00f6rten sie zum Xella Konzern. Auch mein Ausbildungsbetrieb in Deutschland, die Fels Vertriebs und Service GmbH &amp; Co. KG war Teil des Xella Konzerns. Orejo war ca. 20 km von meiner Wohnung in Santander entfernt. Santander ist die Hauptstadt der Region Kantabrien an der spanischen Nordk\u00fcste und hat ca. 172.044 Einwohner. F\u00fcr den Weg zur Arbeit nutzte ich die 30-min\u00fctige Bahnverbindung von Santander nach Orejo. Der Bahnhof in Orejo befand sich direkt neben meiner Arbeitsstelle, sodass ich nicht mehr weit gehen musste. Ab und zu nahm mich eine spanische Kollegin mit.
