Die Gemeinde besteht aus sieben Fjorden und in je einem Fjord befindet sich einer der folgenden Orte: Rey\u00f0arfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, Neskaupsta\u00f0ur, Eskifj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, F\u00e1skr\u00fa\u00f0sfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, Mj\u00f3ifj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, St\u00f6\u00f0varfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur und Brei\u00f0dalsv\u00edk. Insgesamt leben hier ca. 5.000 Menschen, wobei sechs von sieben Orten jeweils mit modernen Kinderg\u00e4rten und Grundschulen ausgestattet sind. Im Sommer wird das Internat als Hotel umfunktioniert. Dort durften wir an einer Marketing-Strategie f\u00fcr Art-Attack arbeiten. Art-Attack ist eine Organisation, die verschiedene internationale K\u00fcnstler nach Neskaupsta\u00f0ur einl\u00e4dt, um Projekte mit der Stadtgemeinschaft durchzuf\u00fchren und somit das Kulturangebot im Ort zu erweitern. Dort befindet sich das \u00f6rtliche Schwimmbad und das ger\u00e4umige Fitnessstudio. Bei einem Rundgang wurde uns das Wasseraufbereitungssystem sowie die Technik des Schwimmbades erkl\u00e4rt. Vom Eigent\u00fcmer wurde uns die Geschichte des Schwimmbades n\u00e4her gebracht und wir wurden mit der Pflege der Kundenkarten vertraut gemacht. An etlichen Stellen mussten wir R\u00fccksicht auf die vielen Schafe nehmen, welche immer wieder die Stra\u00dfe blockierten und f\u00fcr lustige Momente sorgten. Anschlie\u00dfend ging es zum Rathaus in Rey\u00f0arfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. In Rey\u00f0arfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur hat er uns noch das Indoor-Schwimmbad der Schule gezeigt, welches im Winter als Turnhalle umfunktioniert werden kann. In den letzten zwei Jahren wurden 2 lange Tunnel (6 und 8 Kilometer) durch die Berge fertiggestellt, die das Leben in der Gemeinde deutlich vereinfachen. Bei beiden Tunneln ist eine Zeitersparnis von mindestens 30 Minuten pro Strecke erreicht wurden.
