Schickt uns los und es gibt nur gutes Wetter!<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Samstag, 15.03.2025<\/strong><br \/>\nInzwischen warten wir auf unseren Flug am Dubliner Flughafen. Kollege Andreas korrigiert, er hat Langeweile. Ich schreibe diese Zeilen. Der Rest unserer Reise verl\u00e4uft hoffentlich auch gut. Fortbildung ist sch\u00f6n, Schule aber auch.<br \/>\nBis Montag!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Freitag, 14.03.2025<\/strong><br \/>\nDiese wunderbare Zeit in Galway geht zu Ende. Die Koffer sind schon im Auto, der letzte Unterrichtstag endet dem Abschied von unseren Mitstudenten. Wir werden in Blanchardstown, einem Vorort Dublins, \u00fcbernachten. Mit dem Bus fahren wir noch in die Dubliner Innenstadt, sehen uns das Trinity College an, lassen uns durch die Einkaufsstra\u00dfen treiben, suchen das Dubliner Hard Rock-Caf\u00e9 auf und landen auch in der Partymeile mit dem Pub \u2018The Temple Bar\u2018. Den gibt es gleich drei Mal, weil die Besucher nicht alle in einen passen w\u00fcrden. Security-Leute achten darauf, dass die vielen Pubs nicht \u00fcberrannt werden. Alle Sch\u00fcler und Studenten dieser Schule sind aufgefordert, sich in einem gro\u00dfen Gemeinschaftsraum treffen, um in die Saint Patrick\u2019s Day-Feierstimmung zu kommen. Die Lehrkr\u00e4fte singen gemeinsam mit den Sch\u00fclern. Und man glaubt es kaum, aber es wird Bier und Wein ausgeschenkt, obwohl auch Minderj\u00e4hrige (eine Sch\u00fclergruppe aus Wien) dabei sind.<br \/>\nDer Saint Patrick\u2018s Day ist zwar erst Montag, aber was soll\u2018s. In der Stadt sind auch bereits die Wimpel und Flaggen in den irischen Farben aufgeh\u00e4ngt, die Bootsbesitzer schm\u00fccken ihre Boote mit Lichterketten und die Pubs steuern auf ein umsatzstarkes sind wir nach Limerick gefahren. Das liegt nicht gerade um die Ecke, dennoch hat es sich gelohnt: direkt am Shannon gelegen, eine recht gro\u00dfe Stadt, sehr quirlig und unglaublich viele Einkaufsm\u00f6glichkeiten. Ziel ist heute Inishmore, eine der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aranislands.ie\/\">Aran-Islands<\/a>. Die Sonne scheint vom Himmel, es verspricht sehr sch\u00f6n zu werden. Der Flug in der 8-sitzigen Maschine dauert nur 10 Min. Wir gehen zu Fu\u00df in den Hauptort (gef\u00fchlt 3 Stra\u00dfen) Kilronan. Mit Fahrr\u00e4dern machen wir uns auf der Nordostseite der Insel Richtung Westen zum D\u00fan Aonghasa auf, einem ca. 3.000 Jahre alten Fort an den Steilklippen (ca. 90m hoch) an der Nordwestseite Inishmores auf. Die Aussicht auf die benachbarten Klippen ist atemberaubend, an der Abbruchkante ist nichts abgesichert und es geht steil nach unten. sp\u00e4t. Am sp\u00e4ten Vormittag geht es mit dem PKW Richtung Norden in die Region Connemara. Zun\u00e4chst steuern wir Clifden an und gehen eine Runde durch dieses kleine St\u00e4dtchen. Es regnet, also rein in ein kleines Caf\u00e9; hier gibt es wunderbare Scones, allerdings fehlen die Clotted Cream und die Erdbeermarmelade.<br \/>\nDanach geht es weiter durch das tiefe Connemara zu <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kylemoreabbey.com\/\">Kylemore Abbey<\/a>. Er wirkt zun\u00e4chst zur\u00fcckhaltend, stellt sich aber als sehr kommunikativ heraus. Er hat Deutschkenntnisse, da er einige Jahre in Frankfurt gelebt hat.<br \/>\nAndreas und ich haben uns die Innenstadt ein wenig genauer und dann mit Brendon richtig genau angesehen. Doch dazu kommen wir noch.<br \/>\nDie Fu\u00dfg\u00e4ngerzone und die Seitenbereiche der Innenstadt sind ein buntes und quirliges Durch- und Miteinander. Die vielen Caf\u00e9s und Pubs preisen schon morgens ihr \u201egood food and beer\u201c und mittags wird es richtig voll, weil viele Sch\u00fcler auf der Suche nach Kleinigkeiten zum Mittag unterwegs sind.<br \/>\nAuf dem Weg durch die vielen Stra\u00dfen, Gesch\u00e4fte und Gassen kamen wir irgendwann durch die Druid Lane zum Galway Civic Trust: ein Angebot zu einer Stadtf\u00fchrung, Dauer 1,5h, perfekt. OK, wir sind die beiden einzigen Teilnehmer, aber sie machen die F\u00fchrung dennoch. Sie beginnt mit Ian, einem harten irischen Akzent, aber er spricht extra etwas langsamer und deutlich. Nach 15 Min. \u00fcbergibt er an Brendon, ca. 70 J. alt, sehr freundlich wie alle Iren, vollgepumpt mit Wissen. Und auch er in einem kr\u00e4ftigen westirischen Akzent. Unseren Hinweis, keine native speakers zu sein, beachtet er ca. 10 Sekunden, f\u00e4hrt dann die Sprechgeschwindigkeit deutlich hoch und versinkt in seinem Wissen: ohne Punkt und Komma geht es weiter, Wir bleiben gewohnt h\u00f6flich und bei ihm, h\u00f6ren uns langsam in die Sprache hinein und versuchen so gut es geht zu folgen; die Flut unbekannter Vokabeln bleibt beeindruckend und nach fast 3,5 Stunden ist es vorbei. Diese F\u00fchrung war ein hartes St\u00fcck Arbeit (we are horrified): jetzt erst einmal ein Bier.<br \/>\nApropos Bier: \u201eHabt ihr schon ein Guinness getrunken? Das ist sehr gut.\u201c Die meist gestellte Frage mit einer Antwort, aus der man nicht herauskommt.
